area-architecture, the firm of Assistant Professors Anca Trandafirescu and Glenn Wilcox, has won Special Mention, Architecture + Learning Category, of the Architizer A+ Awards 2014 for their project "Flying Carpet," designed in 2013 for Angell Elementary School in Ann Arbor. This project earned an AIA Huron Valley Honor award in 2013.
